Of the 193 United Nations States, the Stone-Campbell Movement exists in 165. This listing includes other nations and territories, numbering 194 countries where there is at least one representation of our churches.

The Kingdom of Bahrain is an archipelago with Bahrain Island the largest. Saudi Arabia is connected to Bahrain by a causeway. Bahrain was ruled by Arabs, then the Portuguese in from 1521 to 1602, then by the Safavid empire. Since1783 Bahrain has since been ruled by the Al Khalifa royal family. In the late 1800s, it became a protectorate of the United Kingdom. Bahrain declared independence in 1971.
Bahrain is 99.8% Muslim, 70% Shi’a. Christians include Roman Catholics, Protestants, Syrian Orthodox, and Mar Thoma. The Constitution names Islam as the official religion and Shari’a law as the basis of legislation.
The International Churches of Christ have the Manama congregation.
